“People shopping for new washing machines or looking for repairs could see some sticker shock.

According to the Consumer Price Index prices on imported machines jumped more than 16 percent from February to May.

“It may not have any affect at all or depending on how bad the tariff is it might increase the repairs we do because if the cost of machines get more expensive we will do more repairs but if repairs get more expensive and machines stay down it might mean less repairs and more sales,” said Joe Mccormick.

Joe says to watch LG and Samsung because they import more.

And he warns costs could trickle down to us.”
