For appliances that only cost a couple hundred of dollars, the decision to replace or repair is a little easier. However, if you’re talking about those that cost $1000+, it can be a difficult decision. One thing to consider is the overall lifespan of your appliance. If you fridge is 10 years old, it might not make too much sense to get it repaired. Although, the cost of the repair might be drastically less than purchasing a new refrigerator.
