In theory, having a contract for home appliance repairs is a sound idea. Much like insurance, the rationale is that costs will be significantly less if a problem arises. However, it’s always important to read the fine print on these agreements. Questions like “How long will it take to get service?” and “Will I be charged a cancellation fee?” should have clear answers before you sign up. Like any service, homeowners should do their research and read through reviews of such contract companies.
