I had an issue with my refrigerator, neither the fridge nor the freezer was cooling at all. Thankfully, I had a deep freezer where I could store my meats in the meantime. My fridge was out for almost two weeks. Initially, I contacted Solo Appliance. A technician came to my home and told me the compressor was bad. He said it would cost $1,500 to fix and recommended I just buy a new fridge. That didn’t sit right with me, so I decided to get a second opinion. On 8/4/25, I called Eagan Appliance, Heating & Air, and Amanda answered the phone. She was very pleasant, professional, and kind. She scheduled someone to come out the next day. On 8/5/25, Drew came to my home. He diagnosed the issue and explained that the control board was bad, which is why the compressor wasn’t working. He said he would order the part and come back the next day. I asked for the cost, and he gave me a clear and reasonable price. True to his word, Drew returned on 8/6/25 and installed the new control board. As soon as he finished, the fridge powered on perfectly! He told me to monitor it and call him if it didn’t cool within six hours. I paid $487.25 in total, far less than the $2,000+ it would have cost me to replace the fridge. I’m so grateful for the honest and professional service I received. Drew was fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable, and truly a pleasure to work with.
