President of Quality Mechanical Services Bob Hare said he’s seen an increase in service calls for furnace repairs. He said the biggest reasons are because the constant use of those furnaces and dirty filters. He wants to remind people to clean those filters or replace them if they haven’t been replaced in several months. He said to avoid overusing the furnace, make sure registers are open and free, keep drapes and blinds closed, minimize how often the door is open and turn the thermostat down at night.”
